I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there are a lot of videos lately? Like, so many. And as someone whose first social media was text-based and not video-based, I don’t always want to intake information in video format. I like text, most of the time. But this video from comedian Josh Johnson got me thinking. His question about texting as a specific ‘wedge’ issue, which are actions that drive a small wedge between people, made me pause. If you’re in a text conversation, do you send one long text, or several short ones as you’re thinking of them? I am a shorter messages person because a wall of text can be really difficult for me to absorb. But if I send too many short messages the conversation can become fragmented so that we’re responding to different parts and having about 3 or 4 different conversations in one place. Which of course leads me to wonder, what else am I doing that inadvertently annoys people? Am I overthinking this video? Yes, of course, I am. This is what I do. This whole site started with me overthinking about romance fiction. What are your wedge issues? Do you send large messages or short ones in a burst? Friday Videos hope you have a smooth and mellow weekend wit...
