Apple TV+ pulls another show before its release.

Earlier this year Apple TV+ pulled the series Savant—about a journalist infiltrating white nationalist groups to stop terrorist attacks— right before its premiere. Now, they’ve pulled The Hunt a month before its premiere because of plagiarism accusations. Specifically, “The Hunt appears to be an uncredited direct adaptation of Douglas Fairbairn’s 1973 novel Shoot.”

Daniel Woodrell, who coined the term “country noir”, has died.

“Woodrell wrote Winter’s Bone in 2006, about a teen girl in the Missouri Ozarks looking for her missing father. The 2010 film adaptation launched the career of Jennifer Lawrence.” You can read Vulture’s obit here.
